SPAN 102 II summer.

Exploring Culture

This Lingro Practice helped me gain understanding of cultural practice because it displayed to me the studies of the cultures professions. I learned masculine and feminine and the pronunciation of the culture.

This project helped me understand how they viewed their professions. Spelling was a presented challenge. I thought the accents would be difficult to place but it goes with the pronunciation

Engaging in Communities

It is important and essential that we as a people engage in our community because it will assure us an understanding of one another along with our environment as well. It helps us improve our interpersonal communication skills, as well as speaking and listing.

I engage in the community when I attend feed my starving children or participate in youth football camps.

Interpersonal Communication

The talk-abroad activity was interesting for me because it would be the first time that I would converse with a stranger in another language. It was a good experience because she worked with me and my skills through ought the conversation. We also got a chance to learn a little bit about each other as well.

This discussion board forced me to expound on my interpersonal communication skills because I had to make my statement and response. While also comment on a comment on a peers post describing how I understood him and my thoughts on his post. We exchanged ideas, thoughts and emotions on a similar topic.

Presentational Speaking

In this link I had to give a presentation and of me asking and answering Questions. I also had to respond to answers from other people as well.

In this presentation my professor asked me questions via video and I had to answer and respond within a timely manner as if we were caring a conversation. Also at the end of the flipgrid I got a chance to ask my peers a few questions myself which was fun .

Presentational Writing

In this blog I had to discuss which sport I seen people enjoy practicing the most. This helped with my Spanish learning because I was having to learn sports in Spain and the video that the blog was on described the countries favorite sport and I had to write and respond on it.

This assignment helped me grow because I had to display that I can use put together full Spanish sentences while describing the subject at hand. Putting the Spanish sentences in the correct form came easier as I went on. When I was stuck I referred back to the module vocabulary to help me navigate what it was that I wanted to say. I was able to say what I wanted pertaing to the video which was good for me.

Interpretive Listenin

This semester I completed two conversations with my professor which helped me sharpen my interpretive listening skills because I had to keep up and participate in the conversation with my professor via zoom.

This semester I learned the types of food my classmates like to eat both in Spanish and in English.

The challenging part was understanding my peers questions because they were so broad. I overcame this by getting the words I understood from their questions to put the question together. I got better with this through constant Spanish lingro practice and the audio assignments.

Interpretive Reading

This interpretive reading assignment helped me learn how to type on my computer using Spanish. This was not as easy as it sounds because as we know Spanish language used accents. My first score was not the best but the image will show improvement. This helped me with Spanish because it showed me where how and when to use accents. This activity also showed me that spelling would be essential when typing in Spanish as well. At first it was unclear how to use the accents then I had to read and watch tutorials on when they would be appropriate and how to access and type them when I needed to.
