Who am I?
My name is Demontae Watson, and I’m a freshman at Old Dominion University to graduate with a Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity and minor in Data Science.
My Story
I grew up in Norfolk, VA where I went to St. Helena Elementary. I always had teachers to motivate me to do more and hold me to high standards which directly relates to how I am today. After Elementary, I went to Indian River Middle School and then graduated from Indian River High School. During my time at IRHS, I focused on taking advanced classes, joining clubs, volunteering regularly, and getting my first job. As I graduated from IRHS, I took not only my diploma but also experiences, lessons, and a strong foundation for what is to come in my future. I am grateful for the relationships I formed, the challenges I faced, and the opportunities I had growing up that have paved my path thus far.
