While at Old Dominion University, I have received the James B. Reece Endowed Scholarship three years in a row as well as the 2021 annual Dickseski Fiction Prize and honorable mentions in the 2020 College Poetry Prize.

In addition, last semester I worked hard at putting aside extra time and effort into trying to get my creative writing published. As of right now, my work has appeared in the Break Bread Literacy Project and Roadrunner Review.

These awards show that I am capable of time management skills and extreme dedication, all traits I hope to bring to all aspects of my life and career.
