Assignment 4 went into a lot of detail on the 6 different styles of love. The six different love styles that were discussed in this assignment were: Eros, Ludus, Storge, Pragma, Mania, and Agape. For the first part of the assignment, I had to take a questionnaire and score it to find my averages. Then I had to compare my averages to the averages for my gender and discuss what the results were. I never knew that there were different styles of love before this assignment, I always thought love was love.
I think that the one thing that I can compare with what I learned in this assignment to, is the use of heuristics. I cannot help but think that the use of heuristics can influence and change one’s style of love. This assignment was an interesting assignment because it really opened my eyes to something that I did not know of before. I think that knowing what I learned in this assignment will definitely benefit me in my future relationships because love is not something that is simple or easy. Knowing that my significant other could have or has a different style of love could help me understand that person better.

The first assignment dealt with the different heuristics of social cognition. There were four different heuristics that the assignment focused on: representativeness heuristic, availability heuristic, anchoring & adjustment heuristic, and status quo heuristic. As per the requirements of the assignment, I gave a description, an original example, and how the use of heuristics can lead to incorrect inferences for each of the four heuristics.
I definitely learned a lot from this assignment. For starters, I did not know what a heuristic was let alone what those four specific heuristics were before I completed this assignment. I have to say that the most interesting heuristic was the representativeness heuristic, this is something that happens almost every time that I meet someone new. Now that I know what I am doing when I meet someone new, I can understand that what I am doing can lead to incorrect inferences about that particular person. I think that this assignment closely relates
