Cybersecurity as a Social Science
This course helped me understand cybersecurity in a completely different way. Instead of focusing just on the technical side, we looked at cybersecurity through the lens of social science. I learned how psychology, criminology, sociology, economics, and political science all connect to cybersecurity issues. We talked a lot about how human behavior, laws, policies, and social structures affect cybersecurity risks. I completed journal entries, article reviews, quizzes, a career paper, and exams that helped me apply what I learned. This course made me realize how important it is to think about people, not just technology, when solving cybersecurity problems.
