I’m interested in cybersecurity technology because I’ve always been the gadget type person in my family. My mom was born in 1987 then had me in 2004 so technology was only just beginning at the time. She never really understood technology at first but when I was younger, I understood more than anything at the time. Growing up I played a game called “Minecraft” and went on bunch of servers playing online. Eventually I got interested into my own server and wanted to make one while I was only 12 years old. I learned a lot from making one especially with the coding part. I was learning coding language at the age of 12 on my own. Technology always been apart my life and I like using it and knowing the behind the secrets about it. I ended up being good with computers and understanding somewhat of the computer language. I had never really put my full effort into the technology world once I started focusing on football. Once I got into high school and it was my senior year, I was still unsure on what I wanted to do. I knew I wanted to make lots of money and work from home. I was changing my major a lot until I found out about cybersecurity. It makes 6 figures, and the degree doesn’t require a lot of math but coding I’m decent at until I fully get back into it. Once I told my mom my plan to choose cybersecurity as my major, she was proud so I knew I could do it. She also told me she could get me a job within that field since she does work for the government. These are all the reasons why I’m interested in cybersecurity technology and the cybersecurity courses.
