What are your most prized possessions?

Fashion is a great influence and driving force in my life, so it is easy to say that one of my most prized possessions has to do with fashion. A pair of shoes that I own have a high resale value but it is not this resale value that makes them my most prized possession rather it’s the effort I put into getting these shoes and that they happen to be my first pair of shoes that are appreciated in the sneaker community. These shoes have a history with famous basketball player Michael Jordan the shoes have the appropriate name “black toes”. The shoes are simple but because of its colorway, history, quality, and quantity, they are hyped and sought after when they release and in the aftermarket. To get these shoes I knew it was going to be near impossible so I did some research and found out that I could purchase them from another country Sweden and have them shipped here the problem being that I would have to wake up before 4 am to have a chance at getting them. The night before they released on the Swedish shoe store website, I set up multiple alarms to wake up at 3 that morning but I was restless and ended up waking up too early at 2 am. So, I stayed up watching the clock and website every few seconds to make sure I didn’t miss out then came time 4 o’clock am me being prepared I was already on the website and as soon as the shoes where able to purchase I added them to my cart and with the fastest typing I’ve ever done put in all my details and made sure I didn’t accidentally send them to a different house. Once putting my details in I pressed the purchase button and waited as the server was slow because so many people were doing the same as me and where trying to buy the same shoes then what I feared most happened my browser froze from all the traffic. I refreshed the page to see if I still had a shot and saw that the shoes had sold out but I didn’t give up hope I had heard that this happens sometimes and that you need to check your email for an order confirmation. I didn’t want to get my hopes up and then be let down but I checked and didn’t find any confirmation at first but I refreshed my email and there it was an order confirmation I was ecstatic because of this I couldn’t sleep and ended up going to school the next day sleep deprived but it was worth it as these shoes are my prized possession and I will never give them up.
