Did you find any association between your categorization in (1) and the results of (2)?

Yes, I considered the brown as being a dark, gloomy color where as in my emotions I said it related to being historic basically because I am afro American…also I said purple is considered to being romantic… and blue is to being serene like water… my darker colors turned into being something less gloomy and more of a positive emotion …

Target person Minutes
Your parents All day
Your older sibling 10 minutes
Your boyfriend/girlfriend 15 minutes
Your best friend 5 minutes
Your colleague 10 minutes
Your client 1 hour
Your boss 30 minutes

Did you find any differences in the results?   Yes… I truly will wait longer for people of authority and respect in my life “parents” … the only thing is missing is my spouse… I will wait all day or start looking for her if she is late for our meeting… a client is obvious “its money”… my boss because he /she is my boss…my siblings or colleagues is because I am more familiar with their habits and I consider my time valuable… I will not wait all day for my friends… they are just my friends … if they are your friend they will be on time…

Artifacts #2 (Module 6)

Growing up with numerous family members is probably one of the things that has truly molded me into the person I am today… my Dad who is a southern boy from Arkansas escaped the racism of the south with my grandfather… I always heard the stories from my uncles but never experienced the strong racist views of the south…I have only experienced these views from the north … these views are not as strong as the south … the difference is they want to kill you in the south…in the north just lock you up … I will never forget going to south with my family.. my Dad would lecture us on how to behave in the south even in the 70’s when I was a small boy … never forget how my mom went into town for groceries and the clerk got upset when she pulled out a credit card and she called the state police .. she couldn’t call the local because the local had black officers…the town soon heard of this and many people came to put in their own input to the situation… this white community called me and mom many names … one lady threw something at us … then my Dad and many of his family member’s came … this was an invite to other white males… these people hated us for just having a credit card … I could not believe it!!! why I ask my uncle… he responded… they do not know how to fill out the application so they blame blacks for stealing their education … I never truly understood what that meant until later on in my 30’s … my grandmother soon instructed me and my 3 brothers that we must love thy neighbor… always love people and treat them with respect even though they do not respect you … this is what made me a forgiving person and one who truly knows how to love his enemy!!!

Artifacts #1 (Module 3)

Being raised in what we say the “Black Culture” is a society that has made of assumptions about black identity or what is being black truly is… often used successfully by fashion, music and hair salons… it can be the factor of what is considered “cool” that makes our children line up for hours to spend their last dime on brand new Michael Jordan sneakers… it’s what people assume about black people and how they should sound, live and act…the barber shop is the corner stone of the black community that isolates us from the rest .. it is where the best deals in the “hood” are made … every Saturday I visited the barber shop with my Dad and eventually me and my son went on a regular bases… the best argument’s and the best “gossip” of the neighborhood was shared… you always had to avoid the new barber in the shop … we all know that one mistake is the most embarrassing thing in the black community… along with many other various things … the black barbershop is the center of advice, meeting entrepreneurs, sports caster, celebrities always visit the barbershop on coming back to visit the neighborhood…one of the most valued thing about the barbershop is the history of our culture is often discussed and told there… we all realize we were deprived of who we really are… we were made to assimilate to something someone else wanted us to be… this is often shared at the barbershop…
