Things I learned from Ms. Bell!
1. She talks about how cybersecurity evolves daily. She talks about how there are daily occurrences on how hackers make new apps everyday to get thru the cybersecurity aspect. Hackers make new apps to try to bypass the system so she talks about how you have to be aware of the new stuff that happen in cybersecurity everyday.
2. She talks about how you have to be careful what you post on social media because if you want to be involved with cybersecurity you have to be the best person if yourself because employers are looking for honest people to hire.
3.The guest talks about how cybersecurity is active 24/7 and you might work on weekends because new stuff comes up everyday.
Things I learned from Dr. Armistead
1. He talks about how Security plus will help get you started in cybersecurity and it will help you start understanding the fundamentals of cybersecurity. Dr. Armistead also mentions that certifications matter when you’re looking for a job in the cybersecurity field. I feel like I can take this information and use it in the future.
2. He talked about how a kid that didn’t even graduate high school got a cybersecurity job because he has certifications and also mentions the fact he makes 6 figures.
3. Dr. Armistead talks about how cybersecurity jobs do background checks and security clearances. It is interesting he mentions that because employers want honest people at their job so they do security clearances. I’m happy he mentions that because for people who wanna take cybersecurity serious they need to be on their best behavior.
Things I learned from Joe Simmons
1.Joe Simmons talks about how students don’t know where to start after graduation, explains how you have to work your way up in cybersecurity and explains how most people start as a network administrator and start working by helping in the desk.
2. Simmons talks about how there are different threats in cybersecurity and explains how there is a threat level, the more the threat level is the bigger the threat is.
3. Simmons explains how you have to help customers what is going on and how you have to indentify their problems.
