Social Cybersecurity falls under the umbrella of national security. Social cybersecurity focuses on the science to define, comprehend, predict mediated changes in human behavior, social, cultural, political outcomes, and to establish infrastructure essential for society to continue in its essential character in a cyber-mediated information environment under changing conditions, actual or perceived social cyber-threats. Social Cybersecurity uses technology to hack humans. Technology today allows for governments and civilians to manipulate individuals’ ideals and beliefs, which is directly impacting how we go to war today. Information has so much power on the battlefields, it can completely change how individuals view their government. Our daily use of information and technology is becoming more embedded in society, to the point of even laying the groundwork for a new generation of warfare using psychological and information warfare.
