CYSE 201S: Cybersecurity & the Social Sciences

CYSE 201S taught me that cybersecurity isn’t just technology — it’s people, behavior, social structures, and the decisions that shape how we interact with the digital world. This course pushed me to think beyond technical threats and look at the human side of cybersecurity: how bias impacts investigations, how society reacts to cyber incidents, and how digital behavior connects to real-life consequences.

Throughout this class, I focused on strengthening my analytical skills and learning how cybersecurity problems always tie back to people. Whether it was reviewing cybercrime research, breaking down case studies, or exploring how social systems influence digital risk, this course helped me see the bigger picture. It also reinforced the mindset I carry in technical environments: stay disciplined, understand the system, and respect the human element behind every action.

Below are the major assignments I completed for CYSE 201S. Each section reflects my growth in connecting cybersecurity and social science concepts:

  • Article Reviews
  • Cybersecurity Professional Career Paper
  • Cybersecurity Presentation

Each subpage contains my work, my analysis, and the lessons I took from the course.
