There are seven principles of science relativism, objectivity, parsimony, empiricism, ethical
neutrality, determinism, and skepticism. The easiest one for me to relate to cybersecurity would be skepticism. In the field of cybersecurity companies come out with major updates, but they are not always 100% effective, so they must analyze and create patches to fix the problems. The next would-be objectivity, in cybersecurity when they are writing new code, sometimes it will not work and instead of trying to force it to work, the creator needs accept reality and try a new form of code. Parsimony would be to find the simplest way possible to fix a problem instead of producing an insanely complex solution. Empiricism is best seen as a researcher who should produce facts from what they see and not from their opinion. Relativism would be seen as there is change in the social aspects of life and there are changes in technology as well like changes in dating allowing there to be dating apps created. Ethical neutrality would protect the information
of those who use a company’s technology. Finally, determinism would be a weakness in the code used, would allow for a data breach when it is found.
