While taking and calculating my love style on the questionnaire my results varied. Looking at my averages in the different styles of love surprisingly did not shock me too much. The test looked at our Eros, Ludus, Storge, Pragma, Mania and Agape style of love. Each love style is exhibited in different ways. Two I want to focus on are Mania and Pragma.These were the styles that were the most different from the average woman. My scores for the most part were very close to my genders average in Eros, Ludus, Storge and Agape.

The other type of love styles refer to:

Eros-strong physical preferences, early attraction, and intensity of emotion  

Ludus-Love as an interaction game to be played out. Deception of the lover is acceptable within proper limits

Storage-Combination of love and friendship 

Agape- An all-giving, non demanding love. 

When it came to these styles of love, I varied from the average by two points either up or down. The one that I was surprised I scored slightly high in was Ludus which looks at love like a game. I’m not saying I’ve never looked at it like that, but I was surprised that I was higher than the average women. I actually averaged the same as the average male.

The love style I scored the lowest in was Mania which is a style of love based on uncertainty of self and lover. When seeing this outcome come. I Was not surprised due to some of the previous trauma I’ve had from my relationships. My ability to trust others and let them in is very difficult for me then it might be for others. Furthermore, I also scored low in Pragma which talks about rational calculation with a focus on desired attributes of a lover. In simple terms the idea of love planning. I’ve always had this set idea about how my life should go so I’ve always planned ahead. For my gender these were the two love styles that women typically scored high in compared to their male counterparts.
