Assignment take away 4

This week I tried to go above and beyond to do five nice things for people I do not know and some that I did know. I started off by going to the mall because I know around that area there are a lot of homeless people. I started by simply stopping and giving the homeless man I always see around their five dollars. He gave me a very genuine smile and just kept telling me thank you. The act honestly made me happy as well to help someone especially since I had the means to do so. The next day I focused on trying to just compliment people. Not on anything in particular just how nice they looked. I know for me at times hearing someone say you look good boost your confidence for the rest of the day. For most of them I received a thank you and some actually took the time to complement me back. The exchange sparked joy for the both of us.

Another thing I did was buy my friend some nail polish and a face mask to help cheer her up because she was having a hard week. I put it in her room. When she came home and saw the gift she ran to my room and tackled me with a hug. Although the gesture was little, she told me it made her day a bit better. The next thing I chose to do was drive my roommate to class because she was about to be late. She doesn’t have a car. We live in the village and her class is at the top of campus. I could tell she was thankful because this was one of her classes that takes attendance. Lastly, me and my friends went out to a club, and we helped a girl who had passed out in the bathroom. We immediately grab a security guard and help her out. Although she wasn’t in a position to thank us, her friend did. Apparently, they were looking for her, but they couldn’t find her. With each act of kindness, I did this week I feel like it gave me joy as well as the person I helped. I want to continue to start doing little deeds to help people.
