TA 3

What I found the most interesting about the modules was the effect that group settings have on individuals. We are constantly working within group settings every day. This can range from individuals simply interacting with coworkers to students working together on a project. Relationships with people are dependent on us. We can make judgments on what benefits us or not, but each judgment is biased by our biased beliefs. For further reference how we may interpret meeting a new person who might differ from how we look, we could be susceptible to judge them before re talking to them based on what we might have heard previously. That is not the only thing that intrigued me I also enjoyed looking at the group module as a whole. In a group setting, we all take on different roles that allow us to be productive members of the group. Some people become more dominate taking leadership roles and some prefer to work in the background.

The image to me portrays a direct exchange of group thinking. When we work in groups we tend to collaborate better with direct communication. In the photo they are collaborating on some type of project. I love that the photo is a direct representation of the new information that I have learned.

What really engaged me in modules 7-10 were the likes of “attraction and liking.” I feel in our society that is something that we are losing a hold of. Communication has already been an issue in our society and generation (especially) but balance is another one. We feel comfortable around people that we connect with right away, a lot of times we feel we already know them. That would be labeled as a “vibe,” and there is either a “good” or “bad” vibe given off by someone. A lot of times I feel attracts me to someone is their insight, like where is their mind at. Future, present, what do they have going for themselves? It is not really about just comfortability but what is realistic. I just found the levels of attractions and liking to be really interesting and I learned that we have to be comfortable before we open up. Our relationship with our parents also plays a big role in that too in most cases.

I love this image. I say this because they look to really be engaged and interested in themselves. Learning to love, like, even tolerating someone is a process. I think following along and understanding certain things through out the module also allowed insights into some things about me personally.
