Their main role is to protect the system and data from threat actors. It’s important to have knowledge about various kind of technology as a cyber professional while also depending on studying human behavior, society and ethics which is also known as social science. This paper will talk about how social science is important and used in cybersecurity as an analyst to study human behavior, the company culture and how it effects people.

There are many attacks that target human psychologically instead of technology and system like vishing and vishing to make people think that they are communicating with trusted person or organization. Sociology helps analyst to see the vulnerabilities in the system and analyst are able to create or focus on creating a safe platform for everyone regardless of their status, place and income.

As the technology are advancing so are the threats so as security analyst must make a most of the time about a privacy and monitoring. It’s important for them to keep an eye on everything while also respecting the privacy of the people/users.
Social science is also used to analyze that everyone is getting enough protection from cybersecurity especially people who doesn’t have much access to technology and resources to protect themselves. They’re more likely to be the victim of threat actors.
Security analyst uses social science on a daily basis, since it helps them find the problem in the system which gives them a direction on what they can do to make cybersecurity better and help protect people from cyber threats.
