Hello, I’m currently a Freshman enrolled at Old Dominion University seeking a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity.<\/p>\n
Participating in the Cybersecurity Program has deepened my understanding of the CIA Triad Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. Through case studies, and real-world simulations, I\u2019ve seen how each component plays a critical role in protecting digital assets. I’ve also learned a greater understanding of Linux systems in cybersecurity and the functions of commands in an operating system.<\/p>\n
These experiences showed how cybersecurity is a strategic business imperative. In today\u2019s digital economy, a single breach can impact customer trust, disrupt operations, and damage brand reputation. I\u2019ve seen firsthand how proactive security measures like employee training, and\u00a0 safeguard business assets and foster resilience.<\/p>\n
Personal and Professional Goals
\nMy journey through the Cybersecurity Program has aligned with\u00a0 professional aspirations to become a cybersecurity analyst working in the United States Coast Guard and eventually a career in the FBI.
