I am interested in cybersecurity because Technology as a whole is the future to put in simple words. In the last few years things like virtual reality, artificial intelligence, even smart cars have become more advanced and are becoming the new regular.at a rapid pace technology is growing and I want to be able to say that I know what is going on when or if something is wrong. I do not want to be the old guy that can not even comprehend what is going on. I want to be able to make sense of things in the future because I believe in the next 10 to 20 years there will be a lot of things that are very different. I also find it fun to be able to make an impact and not even be close to the situation. It is the age of a new time that I really want to be apart of. What is a better way to be a part of this new age than to be the one protecting this new age from hackers, scammers, identity thieves and more. Four other majors that are offered to students by Old Dominion university that are related to cyber security are for one Information technology which is basically the foundation tech it is the study of computer systems. Computer science is another one which has a lot to do with infrastructure  and software, the more intricate things in technology which relates with cybersecurity because in order for cybersecurity students to have the correct knowledge they have to learn some computer science. Accounting can be linked with cybersecurity due to the various cyber ransomwares and attacks that lead to money loss. and lastly I would say that Business can also relate if you think of things like NIST which is a business plan to protect their technology.
