).Political Motive-The article that talks about the political motive is the best and that is because it bigger purpose that just itself or themselves if it is a group of hackers committing cyber crime. committing a cyber crime for political reasons makes more sense because your people aware of things that going on and even for the things that are getting exposed they learn that maybe they need to be more aware of how secure their data really is. This crimes also benefits the public with information that they might need to know makes the motive valid.
.)Money Motive- The link for this Article did not work either so I will explain it as if it was for any reason. In the case of money and cybercrime. I believe it is a reasonable motive. Reason one being a person could be struggling with getting money but is skilled with hacking and decides to take money from a company. Now any cybercrime is bad but at least with money there is a benefit from it. the Second reason is greed, there is people that do not really need anymore money but they will do it so they can get even more money and be financially unbothered which is worse than the other reason to commit the crime but if they succeed then it is still a good reward.
.)Multiple reasons Motive- This article would not pop up for me either so I would say for this one it depends on the combination of motives cause if its entertainment and boredom then it is very dumb so I can not elaborate on this motive because I cannot access the article.
.)Revenge Motive-In the article it speaks on Revenge Porn motives and to my belief even though exposing a person on the internet is very bad. The motive makes sense because if you look at it the person that is trying to get revenge wins because once something on the internet it is almost impossible to get it off of the internet and that is the reason why it is so bad the only punishment that can overthrow the crime is long time in jail or prison because at the end of the day the victims is still exposed online. If the aggressor of the crime gets caught and only gets a fine or community service that is nothing compared to what the victim has to forever go through.
.)Recognition Motive- The reasoning behind this article gives me mixed signals because it could go one of two ways for someone. In the article the guy ended up getting some prison time, community service and suspended for 2 years but, if you look at the case with Facebook he hacked into Facebook and was offered a job so it always depends on the situation and that’s why this motive is in the middle for me.
.)Entertainment Motive-The article about the guy that did it for fun is not a good motive for as big of a scale that he did it. It is not a good motive because if you are doing it for fun then you do not really care you are just doing it just to do it. In that case he could have got in serious trouble and messed up a lot of people’s lives just for his entertainment which is not a good motive.
.)Bored Motive- The article for the boredom Motive would not pop up but I believe that if you are bored and you commit a crime then your dumb. Someone that is skilled in cybercrime should neve resort to crime if they are board because there is plenty of ways to get jobs in the cybersecurity world and if you have a passion for cybersecurity or some type of skill then you should pursue a career in it.
