Persuasive Speech & Reflection

Working on my Wix helped me clean up how I present myself. Before this project, I didn’t think much about the layout, tone, or how my work comes across at a glance. Building each page forced me to slow down and think about what represents me well. By the time I finished, I felt more organized and more aware of how my work looks to someone seeing it for the first time.

The part I liked most was seeing everything come together in one place. Having my assignments laid out with a consistent format made it feel like an actual showcase instead of a pile of classwork. It was satisfying to look at the final version and see something that didn’t feel thrown together.

The hardest part was the setup. Figuring out where everything should go and how to keep it readable took the most effort. Once I got the structure right, the rest felt smoother. The platform can be a little picky at times, so getting used to the layout tools took patience.

If I had to give advice to future students, I’d tell them to start early. Trying to fix everything at the end gets stressful fast. Build each section as you finish the assignments, and don’t be scared to adjust the layout until it feels clean.

This course ties into my career goals because it helps with communication. Being able to explain ideas clearly, speak without freezing up, and present myself in a professional way matters no matter where I work. The eP is a good trial run for that since it forces you to create something that represents you as a student and as a future professional.
