Researchers can use this information to study breaches by looking at the total amount of breaches. Then look at the areas in which most of the breaches have occurred. Look at common causes for breaches to occur. Then look at the different areas see what caused these breaches. They then would be able to see if there if there is a correlation throughout the U.S. if breaches were caused by the same problems.
