For each section, you will need to embed portions of these assignments and activities as artifacts to substantiate your reflection. Explain what you mean.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supported by evidence as represented by your artifacts (course materials, photographs, video, conversations, projects, news reports, authentic materials, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specific, addressing particular strengths, weakness, skills, transformative experiences, etc., avoiding vague generalizations (ex: \u201cI learned a lot.\u201d).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>An Effective Reflection is not<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Only sharing an artifact without context or discussion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only a description or explanation of an artifact. Focus on your learning and growth as a result of having completed that experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An attempt to justify your work to an instructor. Instead, think more broadly about future audiences that might benefit from seeing evidence of your work and the skills you are developing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Artifacts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A good artifact is a portion or clip of an assignment. It needs to be carefully selected to provide evidence\/proof that supports what you are saying in your reflection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your reflection will help you determine what that will be. It is a quest for quality. It will represent you academically and professionally, and have personal meaning. It can be written, audio, or video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end, ask yourself if the artifacts best demonstrates your abilities and growth over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of your reflection in each section, link or embed the assignment\/artifact. If the assignment has multiple pages and seems to overwhelm the section, consider adding just the first page and offering to provide the rest upon request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Exploring Culture<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What I have learned to do and deal with is that fully understanding a culture and its language takes time. An individual cannot fully grasp a culture overnight. I normally indulge myself in culture through videos and movies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the use of cinema and movies, I fully grasped what Spanish-speaking people usually like. The moving platform is a horror movie that goes with the idea of food being shared instead of eaten and selfishly being taken. It&#8217;s always important to join others in a  community to feel less alone is a good feeling being in a community doing something impactful can help anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When interacting with others you feel a sense of importance and care that you won&#8217;t find when alone. When you engage with the community the community will give back to you. Talkabroad helps to understand the language in a better way than just talking with other who are also learning. Speaking the language may require a lesson with a native speaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I used to talk abroad I really felt more in tune with the language and better off. At first, I was nervous speaking to a native speaker when I only knew but a certain amount of words and sentences. With the help  of the speaker I gained a better position with the language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1DYZmGhoMs8_bVXJvL9I2lO5tX2irq3sw\/view?usp=share_link\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Presentational Speaking<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Spanish I stood in front of the class and presented my presentation in Spanish, it wasn&#8217;t perfect but it was enough. In other classes, I haven&#8217;t done that but doing that has made me more upfront and talkative instead of laidback and quiet. It was difficult but hearing it over and over helped me piece it together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I overcame the issues through reading and listening more to Spanish speaking music and books with Spanish lingo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ella Baila Sola - (Video Oficial) - Eslabon Armado y Peso Pluma - DEL Records 2023\" width=\"590\" height=\"332\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lZiaYpD9ZrI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Interpretive Reading<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On youtube, during the latter half of Spanish class, I created a separate account that would consist of only Spanish-speaking channels and advertisements. I would only view Spanish videos with Spanish gaming, memes, funny videos, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I would watch youtube videos in Spanish I felt like I learned a lot of new words from native Spanish speakers. The videos contained comedy that I found funny even though I would understand roughly half of the content.
