My name is Christopher Robert Doyon and I am a Junior in College. I am 20 years old and enjoy snowboarding, video games, and surfing whenever Virginia Beach gets a swell. Other hobbies I enjoy include backpacking, rock climbing, and anything related to automobiles. I am currently a Cybersecurity major at Old Dominion University working toward my bachelors with the goal of becoming a Network Engineer. Before ODU, I attended Tidewater Community College (TCC) where I earned my associated degree in general studies. During my time at TCC, I was awarded a full tuition scholarship and subsequently acted as a student ambassador for the college. Before college, during my Junior and Senior years at Frank W. Cox high school, I was enrolled in a Cybersecurity and Systems Technology program at the Advanced Technology Center at TCC. During my time in this program I was introduced to a vast list of focus areas within the cybersecurity field and was given access to a classroom filled with old hardware and software that was donated by local businesses. The event that got my foot in the door and with technology and cybersecurity in the first place was during the covid pandemic when I decided to learn more about the physical components of a computer with the goal of building my own personal computer for video games.
