CyberOps Reflection

The CTF challenge was my favorite part of the conference because it provided me with a great opportunity to learn. The CTF question that required me to use Wire Shark to find a problematic IP address was, in my opinion, the most difficult because there were so many IP addresses with the same numbers that I wasn’t entirely sure what they were asking for. Though the conference did occasionally become dull and uninteresting, the presenters were incredibly creative. My expectations about cybersecurity when I initially arrived at ODU were based on what I had seen in movies and television shows, but in fact, the field is still a lot of fun and nothing like what I had imagined.
