Cybersecurity Career Connections

I had a disconcerting sense as I entered the cybersecurity job connections event and saw hiring employees wearing sharply tailored suits. When I first joined, it was the start of a fantastic event. After waiting for two hours, the managers at the Sentara table welcomed me. They were wonderful folks and the most fantastic table I had ever been to. When they mentioned that their internships were available year-round, it immediately caught my attention and piqued my interest in learning more about their program. Another excellent company was JL Gov. I felt it was a terrific idea for them to focus on an apprenticeship-style internship where you work all year and are trained to be the person they want. I had a generally positive experience at the connections event. Overall, my experience at the connections event was great. I felt like I met many people whom hopefully I will be able to work with in the future.
