How do engineers make cyber networks safer?

Cyber networks have become an important part of our lives today. In the United States, there are millions of people that could be using them at any moment in time. You can use a cyber network for just about anything too. You can store private information, communicate via social media, and so much more. Unfortunately, one of the most popular crimes of today is cybercrime. These cyber networks can be hacked which means sensitive information can be stolen, infrastructure shut down, and in the worst case the loss of human life. That where engineers come in. Engineers have constantly been making new and updated cyber networks and upgrading old ones. This can stop hackers from being able to access a network as there are new defenses keeping them out. Engineers can also trace an attack on a network. This allows us to be aware of what needs fixing or updating to keep a network up to par with the always changing network security of today. Tracking a cyberattack will also allow us to be able to recover from an attack as well. In the end, the engineers behind the cyber networks used today are an essential part of our world. They keep our networks safe and updated so that it is tougher for cybercriminals to successfully attack. Knowing how to recover from an attack is an advantage as well. Like Rocky says, “It’s not about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.” And with all the important things we keep on cyber networks, it is best that we keep our networks reliable and in tip top shape so that our online world stays safe from cyberattacks.
