award-12018 was the start of dark time in my life dealing with family problems, coming back home from college to my closest childhood friend getting shot, being homeless for a little dropping out of ODU the same year I transferred because I couldn’t keep up with the classes, and then in 2020 losing my mom. At that time I wanted to give up on life but I didn’t I worked hard to get myself back into school and here I am now this this school year making Deans List. This award shows me the reason I didn’t give up because I’m smart and It shows how resilient I am.
