For this assignment, I was required to research a topic in Information Technology. My topic was the examination of cybersecurity through the scope of consumers, businesses and corporations and the greater risk they pose to the general public. Most businesses are tasked with storing numerous Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and produces the risk of significant financial loss if compromised. A solution was introduced to decrease the likelihood of businesses falling susceptible to cyberattacks. This project demonstrates my abiltiy to research and communicate critical cybersecurtity issues.
For this project, my group was required to configure and install two domain controllers and three client with the ability to support 100 full time faculty and 4000 students. Only 100MB of storage is allowed for the Business majors and 250MB for IT Major. A zip file with automations to help with the configuration of the Network. The network operating system used was Windows Server 2019 and the client OS is also Windows Server 2019.
For Hands On Assignment 4, I was tasked with creating a budget and illustration for a computer network system designed to support a telecommunications closet in Constant Hall. A budget and diagram was provided to further support reccomendations for wiring, switches, and routers. The assignment demonstrates my ability to design computer network layout for practical and personal use business and homes.
For Hands on Assingment 5, I was required to research information of domain names and their significance to businesses. This assignment demonstrates my ability to research cybersecurity information and determine their benefits for businesses.
