Course Description
This asynchronous online course explores international history since 1914, with attention to major conflicts and their outcomes such as the world wars, the Cold War, and the rivalries of the contemporary era. The first section of the course covers roughly 1914-1945 and concludes with a paper requiring you to address most of the reading assignments noted below. Later in the course we turn to the Cold War and its evolution. Students will participate in a discussion board, view lectures, read books and articles, view film clips, and complete homework assignments and papers to be submitted on Canvas.
