Select four other majors offered by ODU and explain how those majors relate to cybersecurity.

At Old Dominion University offers a wide range of majors. Some of the majors i think are related to cybersecurity in various ways are these four other majors offered by ODU and how i think they relate to cybersecurity:

  1. The first one that comes to mind is Computer Science. This major focuses on the principles and techniques used to design, implement, and maintain software systems. As cybersecurity involves the use of complex software systems to protect against cyber threats, a degree in Computer Science may provide a strong foundation for a career in cybersecurity. This major goes hand at hand with each other and we have more in common than you think.
  2. The second major is Electrical Engineering. This major focuses on the design and analysis of electrical and electronic systems. As cybersecurity involves the use of electronic devices and networks to protect against cyber threats, a degree in Electrical Engineering may provide valuable knowledge and skills for a career in cybersecurity. Thereason why I picked this one is because I did an assignment on it and why they both correlate with each other.
  3. The third major I picked is Business Administration. This major focuses on the principles and practices of managing businesses and organizations. As cybersecurity is an increasingly important aspect of business operations, a degree in Business Administration may provide a broader understanding of the role of cybersecurity in the business world.
  4. Lastly, I had picked Criminal Justice major for obvious reasons. This major focuses on the study of the criminal justice system, including law enforcement, courts, and corrections. As cybersecurity is a growing concern in the field of criminal justice, a degree in Criminal Justice may provide valuable knowledge and skills for a career in cybersecurity-related fields such as digital forensics or cybercrime investigation. This major is basically our backbone, ground of operation and the reason why we have cybersecurity today.
