Hi, my name is Dailyn. I am 24 years old and am currently pursuing Bachelors degrees in both in Strategic Communications and Cinema and Tv Productions as well as a minor in Marketing.

After high school I enlisted in the US Army as a paralegal specialist for 4 years. I worked along slide attorneys, judge advocates, military personnel, and civilian personnel. I enjoyed my career and my time working as a paralegal, however after 4 years I knew it was time to move on from the military life. After fulfilling my contract I was released with an honorable discharge and went to work in the civilian factor. It was difficult to find a position due to COVID, however I was able to find a position as a receptionist at a tax firm.

After working there as a temp at the tax firm for a short while, I was hired on in a hybrid position as a receptionist/executive assistant/IT liaison full time. There I worked diligently and confidently to meet the expectations of my supervisors, and strived to assist the office in progressing workflow by providing tools and assistance that would solve issues that had currently been in existence. I enjoyed my year working there, it allowed myself to grow and understand the skills I possess, and well as learn new skills that I could use in the future. However, after a year I learned I needed to continue growing in order to get where I wanted to be, and I could not grow where I was currently at. This is when I decided to leave my position at my last company and go to study at Old Dominion University.
