The creation of an e-Portfolio is to benefit the student in a more easier and faster way. An e-Portfolio showcases the work done by a student in a UNIV150 class for that semester. It is made to help teachers access work done by student and also learn more about the student. For the student it helps create a place to store work and reflect upon the work they have done. For me personally the E- portfolio Is effective for the UNIV 150 course that I am in. It really helps to be able to go back and reflect and grow from work that I have previously done.My best work and not so best work from this semester is showcased on the portfolio. In the beginning of the semester I was the type of student who was stuck in my high school mindset,I had to find a new way of thinking to adapt to college. College was a easy transition for me I learned pretty quickly what it was that I needed to do for each course. As a writer things were not easy. I was so scared to write an essay, everything about writing stressed me out. I basically would just write words on the page. There was no meaning or connection. I had this strong belief that i was not a good writer. In reality it was just that I didn’t understand the writign structure and I didn’t have a writing process. Through the UNIV 150 course i learned how to create and understand my own writing process. I also learned the structure of writing, how you must have a thesis and everything must revolve around it. My Eportfolio is a great visual to this growth. Essay one shows my writing when i was scared and didn’t understand anything about writing. Essay two is where i started grasping the new skills and ideas. Then essay three shows how I’m putting everything together with a few mistakes. Then lastly essay 4 Is a representation of how I’ve implemented everything learned in class. The Eportfolio is great ways to show my writing. It show cases my strengths and weaknesses as a writer through out the UNIV150 course.
