Work Showcase: CyberOps Reflection

I really enjoyed CyberOps, I didn’t know it would be very interactive as i thought it would just be very lecture heavy and just constant speakers talking and with the speakers that did talk i enjoyed and found it mostly knowledgeable. My favorite part of the conference was obviously the Capture the Flag thing where we each got to try and figure the modules out and whoever won got a prize, i thought that was cool as we had motivation to win as a prize and it got us to use our knowledge to compete and go as fast as possible. I also liked the speech about cyber jobs, it gave me some knowledge on what to expect in the cyber field job wise. I also enjoyed the presentation on pen testing, i knew what it was but never really understood it, when it was described i felt i had a broader education on the topic.

Why Does This Company need Cybersecurity?
Apple needs Cybersecurity so that all customers who purchase an iphone or apple product will
have a secure database that is secure and hard to get access to. When apple has cybersecurity,
new inventions can be safeguarded and avoid being leaked to the public along with Apple users
data. As apple is a big company, having cybersecurity is also crucial so that there online
company databases and online stores are secure and become harder to breach. Making sure the
store is secure is crucial simply due to the fact that if apple can’t sell iphones the company will
lose profit and won’t be able to sell anything while the store is down.
