My Parallel Plan
For my parallel plan, I am thinking about doing the Concurrent program. The two schools that I am thinking of applying for the program are Tidewater Community College and Northern Virginia Community College. The deadline to apply for this program is February 15 and the requirement for the program is that you must be admitted to the University, which for me is Old Dominion University. But also include admission to AAS degree nursing program at the approved partner institution and complete all the prerequisites in CHEM 105N, BIOL 250 & 251 or BIOL 240 & BIOL 241, BIOL 103, PSYC 203S, STAT 130M, ENGL 110C, and SOC 201S with a grade of C or better. There are two ways that you could contact the Concurrent program, either by their phone number which is 1-800-968-2638, or by their email which is healthsciencesonline@odu.edu, and their application is also on their website, which is very easy to access.
There are no additional classes to get into the concurrent program for nursing; you just have to follow the four years plan at ODU and make sure you pass all your classes with a C or higher. I think I could gain professional experience to learn more about Concurrent by talking to students that are in the programs or doing more research about the program.
