In this class I feel as if I learned a lot about what editing and document design really is. When looking at s document I can evaluate the effectiveness of the document. I know if the font type, size and color are effective. Also, if the images and overall document is effective at getting its message across. I will use this skill to evaluate whether any documents I make or come across are effectively put together. In this course I learned how to integrate visual and written communication in my documents in a way that meets the needs of my audience. If I am designing a flier about the literature concentration at ODU I will make sure that any and all images used on the flier are relevant to the concentration so my audience is not bombarded with imagery that is nor relevant to the topic. 

Before I took this class I was not comfortable using different programs to design documents. Through the use of InDesign I was able to become more comfortable laying out my designs and making something from scratch instead of with a template. I now feel confident in my ability to design an effective document that will be visually pleasing and informative.
