First thing is to make sure your computer is up to date with all your settings and programs. Outdated software is a big vulnerability to systems because it means that the new patches or solutions have not been updated and that you are exposed to this possible threat. This goes into Firewalls next. Make sure to use firewalls and antivirus software. These are lines of defense against many malicious programs out there trying to get in under the radar. Even if you have all the defenses up on your computer you still have use the internet smartly. Avoid clicking on or visiting websites that offer potentially illicit content. Don’t open suspicious attachment or links in things like email. Also, having a strong password is helpful.

First lets talk about how the computer has affected the management of money. Computers have made the management of money easier and safer from user errors like forgetting certain transactions. The computer has also made it less safe for money as well. This is because people can breach financial systems and steal the information or money from behind a desk on the other side of the world. The computer has also made Data Retrieval lightning fast. You can store all kinds of different data with multiple back ups as well. This helps prevent things like natural disasters or your dogs from destroying valuable data. The computer also puts data retrieval in danger as well because if someone else gains access to said information they can copy it, steal it, delete it, or even modify it for illicit purposes. The downside is that communication is fast, and we may not be able to notice when someone is pretending to be us or even just listening to the conversation.
