The biggest thing I had to deal with was the waiting for what we were doing with Suffolk. I feel that the biggest change to make is getting started earlier. This is because even though the Valor top 10 was interesting it did not really help with what we are doing for the Ciry of Suffolk. Doing the out reach for one week was at least helpful with my two partners. I used the opportunity as team lead to get them used to talking to lay people and be comfortable asking questions for an interview. However, doing it for three weeks straight was not helpful and by the thrid time all of our group was over it and just wanted to talk with the City of Suffolk members. Also, allowing to start earlier would allow for technical misteps which we encountered preventing us from getting any information for work until this past Wednesday.
I would also say that making two separate teams for the city was not as productive as just making one from the start. This is because we ultimately came together as one team anyway for purposes of communication and presentation purposes. Yes, I agree with two separate tasks because the city has an abundance of work available for them. I would think that ultimately just making one PowerPoint and one paper is enough because there is just a lot of overlap in what we are doing anyway.
