In the IT world, there are different jobs and responsibilities within the IT community. One of these jobs are engineers. There are network engineers, cybersecurity engineers, database engineers. What I wanna talk about are how engineers make networks safer. One of the ways that network engineers make networks safer are the way they configure the networks. They’re the ones that build the network as well as maintain it. These engineers are vital to keeping the security of a network up and working. Without these engineers, a network couldn’t survive on it’s own, even with cybersecurity engineers. Now what cybersecurity engineers do is they are the ones who would make most of the policies and apply the policies that will protect the network. These two engineers will really work with each other to make sure that the network is protected, working, and maintained properly. The network engineers will make sure that the network is up and functioning as it should be. The cybersecurity engineers will patch the network, and look for vulnerabilities and communicate with the network engineers in case of something that might need to be fixed by them, just as the network engineers will monitor the network and see if any of their configurations are changed or see any vulnerabilities that the cybersecurity engineers may have missed so that they can rectify the issue. There are also database engineers that will work with both of these other engineers to make sure that their data and backups are working the right way and communicate issues for them to maybe fix or give solutions. All of these engineers work together and are very important to keeping a network safe. All of the engineers will also work with analysts and administrators to keep up with network security standings that they should be at.
