He holds a <strong data-start=\"367\" data-end=\"401\">Ph.D. in International Studies<\/strong> with concentrations in <strong data-start=\"425\" data-end=\"452\">Modeling and Simulation<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"457\" data-end=\"492\">International Political Economy<\/strong>, and is currently pursuing an <strong data-start=\"523\" data-end=\"548\" data-is-only-node=\"\">M.S. in Cybersecurity<\/strong> with a concentration in <strong data-start=\"573\" data-end=\"592\">Risk Management<\/strong> at ODU.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"604\" data-end=\"1027\">His research integrates <strong data-start=\"628\" data-end=\"698\">modeling, simulation, and artificial intelligence<\/strong>\u00a0to strengthen <strong data-start=\"713\" data-end=\"805\">disaster recovery planning, cybersecurity resilience, risk management, and organizational decision-making<\/strong>. At the <em data-start=\"814\" data-end=\"874\">Virginia Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation Center (VMASC)<\/em>, Dr. Landaeta has contributed to projects examining <strong data-start=\"927\" data-end=\"1024\">housing recovery, COVID-19 impacts, and risk mitigation strategies for vulnerable populations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1029\" data-end=\"1682\">He previously served as an <strong data-start=\"1056\" data-end=\"1084\">International Consultant<\/strong> to ODU\u2019s <em data-start=\"1094\" data-end=\"1143\">Office of Strategic Communication and Marketing<\/em>, fostering partnerships with <strong data-start=\"1173\" data-end=\"1220\">Latin American universities and governments<\/strong>. Dr. Landaeta has a strong background in <strong data-start=\"1262\" data-end=\"1319\">international relations, leadership, and negotiations<\/strong>, complemented by a <strong data-start=\"1339\" data-end=\"1383\">Specialization in International Business <\/strong>from <em data-start=\"1389\" data-end=\"1427\">Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie<\/em> (S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil), and a <strong data-start=\"1519\" data-end=\"1569\">Bachelor\u2019s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies<\/strong> with concentrations in <em data-start=\"1593\" data-end=\"1608\">Communication<\/em> and <em data-start=\"1613\" data-end=\"1637\">International Politics<\/em> from the <em data-start=\"1647\" data-end=\"1679\">University of Houston\u2013Downtown<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1684\" data-end=\"1990\">Fluent in <strong data-start=\"1694\" data-end=\"1705\">Spanish<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1710\" data-end=\"1724\">Portuguese<\/strong>, he has held several leadership roles, including <strong data-start=\"1774\" data-end=\"1841\">President of the Assotiation of University Administrators (AUA) at ODU.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Eduardo Landaeta is a faculty affiliate at the Institute for Coastal Adaptation and Resilience (ICAR) at Old Dominion University (ODU).
