Social cybersecurity is one of the biggest subdomains in cybersecurity nowadays and it one of the biggest issues we have today in our nation state.  Social cybersecurity is affecting all levels of warfare, it also looks at and takes into account the social, cultural, and political outcomes. There is an extremely big information warfare going on right now between our countries especially with Russia. It is absolutely essential for our government and our military personnel to understand the implications and how serious social cybersecurity is right now and in the future. This is the future of warfare, and soon will be more important than to whatever is actually going on in the battlefield. Social cybersecurity focuses on the hacking of humans otherwise known as “cognitive hacking”. What makes social cybersecurity so essential that it is decentralized and gives us now the ability to affect society without even having to be in person and strictly at the click of a button. With this comes social manipulation, changes in behavior and overall people’s view of the world. All in all we must make sure that our military knows how to handle this issue along with the civilians to make sure they know the risk with social cybersecurity and the implications of it.
