Finding my penpal was a it harder than I thought it would be. I emailed a few people asking if this was something that they would be able to help with. I was able to get a response from Dustin Semonavick who is the Assistant Athletic Director for the University of Marylands Football team. I was able to find this connection through my internship with the ODU basketball team. Dustin had previously worked at ODU as the assistant director of media relations. I was explaining this assignment to some of the media team at the basketball games and they suggested I reach out to Dustin. From there I sent him an email and about a week later got a response saying he would be happy to help. I thought having a connection who used to work for ODU sports communications would be a great contact to have.
