I am an undergraduate student at Old Dominion University (ODU) studying for a bachelor\u2019s degree in Cybersecurity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Prior to and while studying at ODU I\u2019ve been working at a multi-national law firm as their IT Administrative Coordinator. In this position I have been able to observe a cross-section of information technology from user experience to the complexities of keeping a business\u2019 technological environment safe from bad actors. After taking notes for security table-tops, and high-level meetings about the state of the business\u2019 security posture, I have decided to pursue a career in information security- and enrolled in ODU\u2019s program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upon completion of this degree, I hope to be able to use the knowledge I\u2019ve gained in a law firm environment- helping to bolster their security.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/emma-humphreys\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/32737\/2023\/02\/IMG_20161229_180057.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-277\" width=\"254\" height=\"191\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to my \u2018about me\u2019 section.
