Assignment Takeaway for Assignment 1 :

For me, the first assignment really allowed me to think about how I look at other cultures. It also opened my mind to how closed minded others can be when it comes to culture. I was able to reflect on my childhood and about how well my parents raised my three brothers and I. I grew up in house that was always accepting of other people, so that taught me that is is okay to be

different. Growing up, we also had a ton of different cultures in my family that all blended together very well. I was blessed enough to grow up in a home that was so open minded, because it has opened the doors for so many opportunities in my life. The way I was raised really sparked my interest and ended up getting me my dream internship for this coming summer in South Africa helping refugees. I think Integration of Difference is such an important stage, because it allows you to experience different cultures and for me that is something that I am so intrigued about.

Assignment Takeaway for Assignment 2 :

Assignment 2 allowed me to really think about how I really find change as an important aspect of my life as well as an important trait to have as a country. Change allows you to grow as a person and also allows a country to develop and become stronger and better. Change is important because a lot of the time change is good and brings positive things things along with it. This assignment  allowed me to really reflect on how much I have changed during college and how proud I am of myself. This semester I became completely independent which has really shaped me in to a different person. I am so proud

Assignment Takeaway 4:

For this last assignment it really allowed me to see how other counties view men and woman in ads. Advertisements sexualize woman to sell things that are in no way sexual. This is the world we live in and the United States is not the only country that does it. I honestly believe that something needs to b done about the way we view woman. Woman get disrespected because we disrespect woman in the media every day and look at them more as a sexual object than anything else. I really believe that we can change the way majority of people think we just stop sexualizing woman to sell products.

Assignment Takeaway 5:

For this last assignment it really taught me how lucky I am to live in a country that will allow me to be whatever I want to be. Other countries all over the world do not allow their people to express themselves and they have to follow strict rules set for them. We might not be able to do everything we want too, but we have a lot more free time than a lot of other people all over the world. I opened my eyes to how thankful and lucky I am to be living here and how things could have been completely different for me if I was living somewhere else. I hope that one day we are all equal in this wold and everyone can be comfortable in their own skin.
