This is a bit about me!

My name is Emmanuel Walker, and I am a current student at Old Dominion University, pursuing a degree in B.S. Criminal Justice. I have a desire to be in the law enforcement field in the near future. I aspire to have a career where I can use my knowledge and skills to help better our communities. I engage with various activities, groups on campus, sports to keep myself active in my community. At Old Dominion University I am a photographer and senator of SGA (Student Government Association), a barber on campus, and a member of SAC (Student Activity Counsel). My active life at ODU has made me more involved on campus and networked with different people from various background. In my personal life I am an active person who likes to play sports, workout, and take pictures. I’ve been playing sport for 10 years such as football, wrestling, basketball, and running track. During my track career I’ve made it to New Balance Nationals in 4×2 relay and was ranked 34th in the country. While participating in these sports, they have gotten me out of my comfort zone and by pushing me to my max limit. Photography brings out the creative and the fun side of me. I’ve been taking pictures for about 4 years, starting off with sports photography, studio shoots, event shoots, prom, and graduation shoots. I’ve learned how to network with different people that could steer me in the right pathway to my future goals. I became a barber during the COVID years since I was not able to go to a barber myself. Later on, people started to like my work and booked me to cut their hair. Cutting hair at ODU has been a good learning experience because I get to showcase my skills on different hair types.
