About Me

My name is Ashley Miller and this is my seventh semester in the graduate program at Old Dominion University. Slow and steady wins the race, right? I have been working to finish my Master’s in English Literature part-time and this particular portfolio is designated to ENGL563, the Women Writers course with Professor Laura Buchholz I took in Spring of 2022.

I originally grew up in Virginia Beach, but have lived in Norfolk since relocating for my undergraduate degree (also at Old Dominion) back in 2013. Downtown Norfolk has substantially grown on me and I’ve relished in watching the city grow. During the pandemic, I was lucky enough to get a job working as a clinical coordinator for the Masters of Physician’s Assistant program at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). I truly love being back on campus, both in my career and in my continued educational pursuits.

In my free time, I’m often running along waterside, challenging my friends to a match of chess at a brewery, or ideally, diving into a new book on my patio.
