Short Essay Assignment- Feminist Narratological Analysis
In this short essay, develop an argument that considers the significance of how gender intersects with a specific narrative aspect of one of the novels discussed thus far. (Ruth Hall, The Mill on the Floss, or Orlando). Given the depth of Warhol’s treatment of Persuasion as an example you may not choose this novel in this paper).
This paper will help prepare you to engage in secondary research required for your Long Essay. You should locate 1 scholarly journal article from the library database that analyzes one of the primary literary texts listed on the syllabus. Don’t feel limited to the texts we have covered to date- go with what you are most interested in learning and writing more about on the syllabus.

This paper will require you to do more extensive independent research in developing an argument concerning at least one of the literary works on the syllabus. I recommend limiting your paper to only one of the novels we read in the course; however, if you wish to use 2 for a comparison contrast argument you may do so- provided your scope is considerably narrow!!!!
