  1. ABOUT ME PAGE
  • My about me page consists of information about me as a writer, on a personal level. I thoroughly enjoyed this assignment because it helped me see who I was beyond my capabilities as a student. I got to start the semester off on a positive level with this assignment, and I am definitely satisfied with my work.
  1. INFORMAL WRITING
  • My informal writing assignment consisted of a free write that was based on a quote. I did struggle with this because I felt as if I had too much freedom to write. I know that may be weird to some, but I do like to have some direction when I write. I am dissatisfied with this piece, only because I feel like I could have done better by elaborating more.
  1. RHETORICAL ANALYSIS
  • I feel as though my rhetorical analysis was one of my stronger pieces. For this assignment.  I did an analysis of Dr. Martin Luther King’s speech. I did have problems with this simply because I had trouble understanding some of it, as it was very formal. Other than that, I am satisfied with this piece because I was able to meet all the requirements for this assignment.
  1. VISUAL RHETORIC
  • My visual analysis consisted of me analyzing a drinking and driving poster. This was one of my favorite pieces of the entire semester. I feel like at the time I wrote this, I was just getting the hang of how this course worked, and I was eager to create superior work. I actually had no problems writing this piece. So, I am extremely proud of this piece, and satisfied with my work.
  1. EVALUATION PROJECT
  • Honestly, I am extremely disappointed in this piece. In this paper, I argued the debate of which cell phone was better, an iPhone or Android. I am dissatisfied with my work because I feel like the topic was a bit juvenile for a college assignment. Overall, I did make a good grade, so that did give me some hope that it wasn’t as bad as I thought.
  1. RESEARCH PROJECT
  • For my research paper, I researched issues of the criminal justice system, and honed in on the issue of police brutality. Although I know I missed a few marks on this, I honestly feel as though I did that absolute best I could. I stayed up very late trying to perfect, and I feel as though I argued all points I wanted to cover. I am neither satisfied or dissatisfied with my work, because I know I did my best, but I know there is a lot of area for improvement.
  1. SELF EVALUATION
  • I always enjoy writing reflections. It gives me the opportunity to think about where I can improve, and what I need to consider to be a better writer. Overall, this course was a new experience for me, and I am glad that I got the chance to challenge myself academically and as a writer this semester.
