Android vs iOS: Which mobile OS is right for you? | IT PRO

In today’s society, technology is very prevalent in every aspect. It’s in the workplace, our homes, and schools. This allows for us to be able to communicate with others, and access global information. One of the more used forms of technology is the cell phone. Which allows you to do things such as call, text, use the internet, and browse social media. In this paper, I will be evaluating which cell phone brand a person should consider, and why they should consider that option.

In my opinion, the Iphone would be a better choice, as opposed to something like an android device. The first reason being, the app store for the apple device has a wide variety of choices. An article titled “iPhone vs. Android: Which is better for you?” writer Adam Ismail

says that “You may even find that apps from established companies, ranging from banks to airlines, are a bit smoother and cleaner on iOS than Android, with better integration with the phone’s core services, like Wallet.” This is important because some cell phone users like to be able to handle business from there through apps. For example, things such as banking or shopping. However, this may not be that big of a deal for those who use their phone only for the purpose of calling and texting.

Furthermore, with an iphone, you can have more options when choosing a second device, without having to worry about losing your information. In an article called “10 Reasons People Buy iPhones Instead of Android Phones”, the writer Jess Bollyut says “but if you do use an iPhone and a Mac, for instance, you can take advantage of features that Apple has baked into the operating systems to make it easy for your activity and information to flow from one Apple device to the other.” Personally, this is something that I can relate to as a college student. I am an iphone user. So, when it was time for me to return to school, I opted for a macbook. This was convenient for me because I am able to keep all my contacts, calendar information, and messages in two places, and have access to them whenever I need them in both locations. So even when I am not near my computer, I can continue to do my work. I would recommend this for people who work in office settings, since it allows them to to be able to work away from their physical desk.

Latsty, the iPhone, is a better choice due to its high-quality design. This device has a wider phone screen which makes it for the user to see. The iphone screen is 5.8 inches, one of the widest phone screens right now.  The camera is also a well known staple of the iPhone. A writer, that goes by the name of Mark Spoonauer says that “But the dual rear cameras on the iPhone X offer more natural-looking portraits and its colors were truer and brighter in some cases.” The iPhone also offers more security features by using fingerprints and face identification to unlock the iphone. More recently, however, other phones have begun to incorporate the same fingerprint and face identification features as apple.

In conclusion, the iPhone is the better choice for cell phone users because it is more compatible with other devices, it has a larger variety in regards to the access to apps, and it has an overall better design. As somebody who has used apple devices, and others, I can say that I had a more positive experience with apple products. Overall, I would hope that next time you think about buying a phone, you think about purchasing an iPhone first.
