  1. What is design thinking?
Design thinking is how you can wield the data to find answers to problems or build tasks. The design thinking method allows you to examine while empathizing, defining, imagining, designing concepts and testing your idea. The five-phase process uses brainstorming-grouping-prioritizing maps to decipher ideas. The idea mapping map helps designers build prototypes that answer the queries your designs are trying to address. It is an outside-the-box process that allows you to slow down and truly get in tune with solving problems.
  2. How has design thinking influenced a product I use?
My understanding of Design thinking based on reading the lectures is that it is a process that works to understand the user. At the same time, it considers advancements in technology & requirements for a thriving business. It can be analogized to thinking outside of the box because you are constantly thinking of new ways to think.
  3. What are the connections between opportunities and planning?
A direct connection between opportunities and planning is that you will not get them if you do not plan well. Not planning well and expecting opportunities to show up will only lead to more waiting. If you still come across opportunities, you will often be unprepared for them if you do not plan correctly. Preparing for both the short and long term invites room for opportunities.
  4. What opportunities have I missed?
I have missed a few opportunities, like joining the military at a young age, playing soccer in my senior year in high school, keeping up with learning more about how to play an instrument and traveling more without children.
  5. Can a successful venture be unethical?
I say yes, it is, but it will not be moral. Some people have a good experience, and others do not all depend on the product you order. For instance, this would be Amazon. Amazon is an app/online store that sells inexpensive/expensive things ranging from gadgets to makeup and stationery to clothing to books, and even food now with the Wholefood store app. They sell things that are not the best for their consumers and sell things that are best for their consumers. Some things are rip-offs, depending on what you order through Amazon, and some things are good, just as getting it from the store. For instance, you can get it cheaper than going to the store and delivering it to their house.
