  1. Describe five businesses or non-profits that have been created in my field.
    • For Dummies: This is a guide that helps to simplify tasks across many different fields.
    • Tech2Expert: This platform allows people to learn about technology to guide them to become experts.
    • Webster’s Dictionary: This is a resource where a person can look up information and find definitions of topics.
    • Google: This search engine is open to finding information across the Internet.
    • Wikipedia: This is an online published encyclopedia that regular people write but is not necessarily scholarly endorsed.
  2. What is your overall perspective on the entrepreneurship experience?
My viewpoint of the entrepreneurship experience is that it is intense and time-consuming. The intensity comes from the fact of the overall commitment that you take on as an entrepreneur. The time-consuming portion of the entrepreneurship experience comes from continuously addressing everything yourself. It is a complex process, and even in planning this project, we saw how a short timeline could almost be missed if we did not stay on top of things.
  3. How did entrepreneurship prepare or not prepare you to be a competitive candidate for vacant positions?
The entrepreneurship prepared me to be a competitive candidate for future positions because I learned comprehensive skills I could apply to other positions from this process. I think that if you can be or make an entrepreneurship project of this volume, then you can use those skills of critical thinking through the design thinking process in any area of your life, especially in new experiences in any job you applied to.
  4. What suggestions do you have to improve the experience?
My advice to improve the experience in entrepreneurship would be that student groups be paired with faculty or mentors during this process. It is excellent that the ideas come from the students, but it would be great to get insight beyond the professor to know what to expect in the real world and be prepared for it.
  5. What is next for you?
I plan to finish my summer semester and then proceed with my Master’s for the fall. I hope to apply the design thinking process to the research model I will be learning from my future semester classes, which is essential to helping me break down the process. I aspire to be a leader in cybersecurity in the defense section, hopefully in the pen testing section, and this process helps defense and keeps hackers from penetrating organizations.
